Nick had originally purchased supplements from the "Semi-Legal Vitamin and Supplement Company" of Walla-Walla, Washington for himself.

He had wanted to build himself up to discourage the bullies and possibly even make it onto the football team.

Nick was extremely disappointed when he discovered, after weeks of training and supplementing, that the pills seemed to have no effect on him.

In contrast, he was delighted that the little pills seemed to have a HUGE effect on his formerly short and scrawny, best friend, and neighbor, Wendy.

Each day the pair would work-out and Nick would give her another one of his pills. And, each day Nick watched Wendy grow just a bit bigger.

Neither had really considered when or where they should stop.

Today, while giving Wendy her daily pill, Nick couldn't help but think back to what she looked like when they had first started.
